We all knew it was going to happen...

I was going to blog about this yesterday BUT... Laela and I were sickos :-( ... We are feeling better today and I am actually being a productive member of society instead of sitting around on the couch doing absolutely nothing!

Anyhow.... We were out to eat at an amazing sushi place Friday night that we love so much when Laela said she needed to go to the potty. I jumped up, Matt and I did the parent shuffle and I ran to the restroom as fast as possible with Laela (She has been doing SOOO good with the potty training). We sat there for a few minutes and Laela was chatting my ear off when she suddenly stopped. She heard someone walk into the restroom and enter into the stall next to us. She looked up and me in silence for about 30 seconds, then............. the lady in the stall next to us let out a "toot" (thats what we call them). Laela immediately said "MOMMY, THAT LADY JUST TOOTED" really loud. Believe it or not, I was NOT surprised.... we are talking about Laela here.
I, trying to downplay the embarrassing situation, immediately said "yes hunny, thats what the restroom is for... its okay to pee pee, poo poo, or toot in the restroom, Remember". The lady next to us was horrified, she said "Ohh No... Im so sorry, Im going to get out of here before you see me".

We will chalk up that story to the #1 Embarrassing thing Laela has said to a stranger thus far!!!!

North to Wasilla

We took a drive this weekend to Wasilla to meet up with one of Matts Co Workers for dinner! We left early to take a detour to Hatchers Pass; its so beautiful! 

We drove up in the Summer time when it was all green so we wanted to see it covered in snow!

There were people sledding 'snow machining' everywhere!

I just sat on my sled and held on tight. It was so cold; I only had jeans on... not a good idea! 

This is my favorite shot... Matt makes fun of me for squatting to take pics... once I showed him he said "okay, thats amazing... I guess I will stop making fun of the way you shot" lol

So beautiful... the views are never a let down on our little adventures! 

Where did November and December go?

Its been a while since I have blogged... I have been busy taking care of babies and getting settled back in from our super long trip to Oklahoma.


But... I do need to chat about the last couple of months! Its been a whirl wind; we went to Oklahoma mid November and were there for the Holidays! We got to celebrate my Birthday and Thanksgiving in November then all of the Christmas festivities in December! It was so nice to be with friends and family!!! While we were in Ok we stayed very busy with Christmas shopping, visiting family, visiting friends, crafts, and cooking!


The trip to OK was long but good! We seriously couldn't ask for better kids... they are champion travelers!

Once we got into Ok we took a trip to Elk City to see a few very special people then we took another trip in the exact opposite direction to Branson, Mo with some more very special people! 

We had an amazing dinner outside and watched an amazing water show! Laela LOVED it! 

The next day we took the kids for Pizza and games!

Laela decided she needed a huge ice cream while we shopped the outlet mall!

Once we made it back to Lexington we were able to spend some time outside which was really nice!

Laela loved to go watch while the calf ate!

eating outside again... we took advantage of every chance.

And CRAFT TIME... Laela loves her craft time!

Thanksgiving was amazing... we spent time cooking and visiting with family! :-) 

Colts 1st Thanksgiving... He loved it, of course... as you can tell he is an eater! 

Daddy delivered his first Thanksgiving bite! 

We finally got to meet little Joel... he is so handsome!

For my birthday Matt took me to a movie and out to eat! We had a lot of fun! 

He also planned an amazing Birthday for me! I felt so loved!
